Using only responsible logging, we can help to put an end to illegal logging.
We Only use Traceable Materials
Over 70% of the materials we use are walnut, white oak, and ash which we import from Baille Company, a U.S.-based lumber provider.
While we could choose less expensive sources for our timber materials, we have consciously chosen to avoid countries which lack responsible forestry management practices and countries where irresponsible logging practices might occur.
When deciding on where to source our materials, we looked carefully for foresting companies with long-term vision and who were engaging in responsible logging and reforestation practices.
We have chosen to use solid wood over other materials as it is both appealing in itself, but is also reflective of traditional Japanese aesthetic styles.
